Grado, village and town in the western part of Asturias.

This web page is a compilation of all its parts, the feelings, emotions and daily lives of its inhabitants along with its cultural heritage and the mutual influence of the surrounding area.

From the plain to the ocean; Pola de Somiedo, Teverga, Quirós, Belmonte, Yernes y Tameza, Proaza, Salas, Santo Adriano, Oviedo, Pravia, Candamo, Las Regueras, Cudillero and Muros de Nalón, all of these towns, in the western central part of Asturias, have played a part in the history of Grado through the years.

This is perhaps influenced as much by the geography of the area, as by the need to provide for each other by sharing in each others resources, among them, those of the ocean, the fishing; those of the mountains, the wildlife and game; and in the market places, commercial products and crops.
